A Truly Exotic Island: Taiwan Tourism
Some countries of the world are more intriguing than others. Of course every country has its interest. Different cultures, customs, language and landscapes make each country unique, but some still hold more mystery and excitement than others. One of the countries that many of us know little about is Taiwan.
Taiwan is an island off of mainland China, but it is under Chinese control. After World War II its economy advance so rapidly it is considered phenomena. It is now one of the strongest economies in the world.
Taiwan tourism is centered around the interesting things you can do there. One of the top experiences you must have when visiting Taiwan is a visit to the National Palace Museum. This gorgeous structure is counted as one of the top five museums in the entire world. Definitely something you don’t want to miss. It houses a collection of Chinese gems, art, and artifacts that is so vast that only one percent is actually on display at any given time.
Taiwan is a beautiful island. Two thirds of it is covered in rough mountains. These are beautiful and can be enjoyed by tourists. Taroko National Park, for example, is located on the east side of the island and has lovely mountains and gorges that were created by erosion from a fast moving river. For tourists, this area provides breathtaking views and plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventure camping and hiking.
The other two thirds is either flat, or gently rolling plains. This is where most of the population of Taiwan lives. The capital, Taipei is a big city that offers everything you want in a large city and plenty of good cultural experiences to boot. You can visit the largest jade market with over 900 sellers, or you can take advantage of some of the exotic delights and not so delightful experiences in cuisine and other experiences.
In order to see some of the main attractions in Taiwan tourism, it is a good idea to look into a tour. You can travel and have your entire trip as part of a tour, or you can just take one or two tours while you are there. This is an easy way to have your transportation taken care of as well as to have a guide that can show you areas of interest and explain what you are seeing.
Taiwan tourism offers exciting adventures for you in terms of culture and history, landscape and urban life. You will enjoy the opportunity to see a new country and still enjoy all of the modern conveniences you are used to. Choosing to take a tour will make your trip easier to manage and help you to get as much done as possible with the greatest convenience to yourself.
